Agia Roumeli / Samaria Gorge – Loutro

Marmara Beach: Nestled on Crete’s southwestern coast, Marmara Beach is a hidden gem accessible by boat or a scenic hike. Known for its clear turquoise waters, unique rock formations, and small sea caves, this secluded pebble beach offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by dramatic cliffs, ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and basking in serene natural surroundings.

Agia Roumeli: Agia Roumeli is a small traditional village located 56 km south of Chania, at the end of the Samaria Gorge path. Accessible only by hiking through the gorge or by ferry, it remains peaceful except during midday when hikers and tourists arrive. The village features 3 km of mostly pebbly and rocky beaches. The main beach, in front of the village tavernas, is well-organized with showers and boat services. For tranquility and naturism, the western side of the beach offers a taverna and large rocks providing shade.

Loutro: A seaside resort only reachable by a 20-minute boat trip from Hora Sfakion, Loutro is a secluded and beautiful destination. The tiny pebble beach boasts cool, calm waters, and visitors can enjoy excellent local food, rent canoes, or explore nearby Ottoman and Venetian forts.
